My Ukulele Perfomance in Hawaii on Youtube

I started working as a musician in 1991 when I was a high school student. I played hard rock, folk songs, flamenco, classical music, etc on many kinds of guitars.

At the age of 24, I lived in Hawaii for my music business. After coming back to Japan, I found an ukulele at the music shop on Tokyo. I touched it for the first time since I came back from Hawaii. The sound was sweet and I missed there.

I played the ukulele at my concert as a joke. I played the Ventures' tune at that time. Audience was surprised. I noticed the ukulele had great possibility to move people.

In 2006, I wrote a tune called "Evergreen Day." It got the first prize of about 55,000 tunes (all tunes) on Yamaha's music website. "Evergreen Day" made me famous as an ukulele player.

My ukulele style consists of all kinds of the guitar style. Especially my ukulele was influenced by agressive sound of flamenco, tenderness of Bossa Nova. and ambiguity of Jazz.
I aspire to the stylish sound
with tenderness of the ukulele.
